Sue has administered the day-to-day business activities of MSTA since 1996, and manages all aspects of its annual conference that attract 2,500+ attendees each spring. She is honored to work with a very dedicated board of 48 teachers and educators who are totally committed - "to stimulate, support, and provide leadership for the improvement of science education throughout Michigan." Sue has been with AMR since August of 1995.

MSTA has the proven history of being one of the largest state science conferences. MSTA is the 2007 winner of the MSAE Diamond Award for excellence in Meeting & Expositions for budgets under $500,000 and also the 2007 Best in Show! This award is given for the entry with the best score irrespective of the size of the organization or the competition in any give category.
 

Recently, Sue joined the Events Management Division at AMR assisting with various responsibilities related to, but not limited to, the functions of a group’s conference.  Currently Sue is the lead contact for the Michigan Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference (MCSS), and works with the Michigan Parent Teachers Association (Michigan PTA) in planning their yearly events.

Sue is also responsible for assisting the Michigan Physical Therapy Association (MPTA), in the review process of Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s) that are offered to licensed physical therapist and physical therapist assistants in accordance with Michigan Public Act 0055 (2009).

Sue is an active volunteer in the American Red Cross, Toys for Tots, the Michigan Humane Society, and American Legion.

In her spare time, Sue enjoys traveling, baking, quilting, and a wide variety of crafts. In the winter months she enjoys bowling.  In the summer months you can find her at Milan Dragway almost every weekend. Sue, along with her husband Ken, enjoys taking their 1965 Ford pickup to the track to see it do 11 seconds down the quarter mile. Sue can be reached at scampbell@managedbyamr.com
