Executive Assistant to Executive Director
20 hours/week

Job Overview:
Position provides administrative support to the Executive Director and program/event/committee support.
Job Description:
- Assists Executive Director with routine operations of the Association
- Acts as liaison for Executive Director with affiliates, partners, board and members
- Assists with monitoring of Executive Director’s e-mail and calendar
- Assists with coordination of Board of Directors and committee meetings
- Assists with Michigan PTA communications (writing, editing, implementing)
- e-Communications and Weekly Updates
- Website updates
- e-Bulletin
- Updates to Facebook page and/or other social media
- Prepares and disseminates press releases
- Assists with Michigan PTA events
- Pre- and post-event tasks
- On-site support, as appropriate
- Researches, solicits and follows up on sponsorships and advertising
- Solicits exhibitors for annual convention
- Preps technology for use on-site at events and meetings
- Works with and provides support to committees and volunteers
- Provides administrative support for Michigan PTA programs
- Researches and assists with writing proposals for and reporting on grants
- Assists with monitoring of legislative activity
- Works with Executive Director on preparation of annual budget and timelines
- Works with Executive Director to develop/update marketing, communications and fund development plans
- Integrates projects and documents into Michigan PTA branding
- Ensures the appropriate maintenance of all Michigan PTA equipment and possessions
- Creates and/or updates procedures manuals
- Facilitates additional projects, as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills and sense of professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in PC environment and with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Social Media
- Knowledge of database management
- Resourcefulness in researching information and answers
- Website management experience and/or knowledge of Joomla a plus
- Program and/or event administration experience a plus
- Grant and/or sponsor/exhibitor solicitation experience a plus
