As the "Voice of the Food and Beverage Industry" in Michigan, AFPD constantly monitors proposed state legislation and how it will affect member businesses, provides lobbying efforts to advocate on behalf of its members, conducts seminars throughout the state to help inform retailers on how to keep themselves in compliance with state regulations, plus other educational events to keep members informed and competitive.
AFPD also produces two exhibitions for its members -- the Annual Trade Show in April and the Holiday Beverage Show in September. Qualified buyers from liquor stores, supermarkets, specialty stores, bars, restaurants, and drugstores connect with exhibitors offering exciting new product introductions.
AMR assists AFPD staff in the operational management of these two shows, primarily in the attendee and exhibitor registration component of the events.
